Last Post... :(

So this is it. This is my last post on this blog. I did this blog for an english assignment and I thought I would hate it, having to post each week seemed like a pain in the butt! Turns out it was pretty fun. I liked writing about fashion, makeup, or beauty each week. I always had ideas floating through my head, and I loved planning each blog post. With that being said, I will continue with blogging. However, I'm going to be blogging on a different blog. Why? Well this blog is set up with my school email, and the second I graduate it'll be gone. Poof! I don't really want that to happen. My new blog is going to be exactly the same as this, just a different name.

I think that blogging this summer is going to really help me stay motivated to get out and do stuff, because let's face it, we all get super lazy in the summer. This way have to actually do something this summer at least once a week. I really did have fun with this though and hope that you decide to check out my other blog :) Click here to come and check it out!

I also think I might make a youtube channel, but I'm not sure about that yet, we'll see. I don't even have any good names figured out. I made a youtube channel with my friends last summer, but since there were seven of us it was kind of hard to work out each week and videos, etc. It didn't last very long, but I had a lot of fun non-the-less. So if I do end up doing a youtube channel it'll probably be a solo channel, but I don't know maybe my friends and I will each have our own channel. I'm not sure, I don't even know if they want to make one.

This summer I'm so excited for everything! The summer styles, the two months of vacation, everything!  I got a skateboard that I'll be able to ride everywhere instead of having to walk everywhere. I'm learning right now so I'm not the best, but by summer I should be able to ride it pretty well. The reason why I'm in need of transportation is because usually my sister could just drive me places, but this summer she'll be at a camp for a majority of the summer. Leaving my little sister and I without rides unless our parents aren't busy, which a very small chance. I'm also really excited because I'll be able to spend tons of time with my friends just hanging out and shopping, etc.

So this is it, my last post on this blog forever.

April Favs

So April is FINALLY over!! Honestly I feel like April went by soooo fast and the fact that it's May now makes me super happy!! Whenever May rolls around it just makes summer feel so close, I mean schools over in a month! So I thought that it would be fun to do a favorites post because I've never done one! I have a lot of favorites so I'm not going to write too much about each one, but if you want me to follow up on any products just leave a comment :)

Makeup:

My first favorites for makeup would have to be the L'oreal magic Skin Beautier BB Cream. I have the shade in light and it's actually wayy too dark for me. But, I thought I'd share it because I'll be using it in the summer when I get my tan on! Anyways this stuff is really cool because it comes out whiteish grey and then when you start to rub it in it turns into the color, which is way cool.

Next favorite is the Revlon Photoready powder. I used to use the Nutrogeana face powder to set my makeup and make it look matte, but it was not working. This one on the other hand is awesome it mattifies my face well and it doesn't make my makeup look caked on even when I'm only wearing concealer on my blemishes. I got this powder in the translucent shade.

The Stila lip galze had made it in my favorites because it is the perfect lipgloss. Why? Because it's not overly glossy and it gives your lips great color. I have the three lip laze kit, which comes with a lighter shade than this and a darker shade. My personal favorite is the lighter one, but I keep that in my enormous pencil case stash of lip products, so this is a picture of the medium one, which is going to be awesome in the summer!!

For my eyeshadow I love the look of a simple eyeshadow look. These two e.l.f eyeshadows are perfect for just that. They dont have a ton and a ton of pigment so it doesn't look like I have like a whole treasure chest of gold on my eyeball. I like to use the elegant shadow first then apply celebrity to the outer corners. Perfect golden eye.

Finally for makeup are my three go to mascaras. The first mascara from Great Lash by Maybelline I like to actually use on my eyebrows instead. I know that's weird, but it keeps them in place somewhat so I don't have nasty brows flyin all over the place! The second mascara is The Falsies winged out edition. I really like this mascara because it adds a lot of length and some volume to your lashes, but it still looks pretty natural. The same goes for my third mascara by Covergirl called ClumpCrushers. This mascara is great for the same reason, but it's also different, I just can't explain it. Haha

Skincare:

My first favorite for skincare is obviously my Clarisonic. I feel like I've mentioned this quite a lot so I'm just gonna leave it at that.

Next would have to be the Mary Kay Clear Proof™Acne Treatment Gel. Like I said before this has worked miracles for my acne, and now my skin is great! If you want to check this puppy out click here.

My next favorite for skin care would have to be my new cleanser by Olay. I just got this cleanser this week to replace my other Biore cleanser. I got this for two reasons; one my Biore cleanser was almost out, and two I felt that it wasn't cleaning my skin completely. I would still recommend the biore cleanser for those lucky peeps that don't have to deal with much acne, but if you do then I would go for something else. Olay has tons of different cleanser to choose from like exfoliators and such, but I just went with the foaming cleanser because I already have the Clarisonic to exfoliate my skin.

Finally, my last favorite is called Egyptian Magic. It an all around moisturizer. I like to use it for my hands because it makes them suuuuuper soft, but I've read about people using it on their face, their legs, it's great.  If you're interested check it out here. It is a little expensive, but my mom purchased it at the Costco almighty.

Fashion:
My favorite trends this month had to be almost anything at Coachella, I just think that that style is so simple, yet adorable! The boho vibe is fashionable, and very cute! I loved seeing all celebrities post pictures on insta and see all their outfits... Who's style did I like the best? Probably Vanessa Hudgen's. I just love her style.

My favorite piece of clothing from my wardrobe would definitely be my oversized denim jacket. I love how this fits! I got this jacket on my trip to Paris from what I'm pretty sure was a thrift shop. It's super comfy and soft because it's been worn and I just love the way it looks.

Miscellaneous:

My favorite food this month is bananas. I know bananas are kind of a weird favorite but before this month I hated bananas. I hated the scent, the smell and let's not forget the taste. This month however I had a banana and Nutella crepe, cause I don't know I felt like it for some reason, and something happened. I now have a banana every morning with my breakfast and it gives energy to start my morning right :)

My favorite Fragrance for this month would have to be Eau So Fresh Daisy by Marc Jacobs. I just love the scent it's so floral but it's not overly girly floral. It's just right.

My favorite overall purchase of April would definitely be my Penny Board! I have been thinking about getting a Penny Board for such a long time, then I had to save up for one because they're not cheap. Finally I ordered mine and I'm obsessed! I'm not super great at riding a skateboard, but I'm learning and the more I learn the better and more fun it gets!!

Oh ya and one more thing. I made a big change to my appearance this month... About a week before spring break... That's right. I cut my hair. I personally didn't cut it, like I went in and got it cut, but ya. I love it. I got about 8" or so chopped of and I thought I would regret it, but here I am two weeks + later still lovin my hair.

Hope you enjoyed this post!!

My Skin Care Routine :)

Just recently I had a really bad skin break out, so I had to buckle down on my skin routine, and it's worked miracles on my skin. I used to wash my face every night, unless I was lazy. Recently my school was on spring break, and as I mentioned in my last post I went to Paris. Which by the way was fantastic. The only problem? I got lazy. I barely washed my face which led to multiple breakouts all over my face.  So this week is kind of like my recovery week where I'm trying to clear my skin up. I wanted to share my skin care routine for those of you who are also blessed with bad skin. Obviously it's going to be different for everyone but, hopefully this will give some inspiration. Also, check out this awesome quiz about your skincare routine!

First Step:

The first thing I do is take off all my makeup. Usually I just splash my face with water a few times to get off my mascara and then my Clarisonic can do the rest, but I'll occasionally use some makeup remover wipes.
Second Step:
Then I wash my face. I do this right after splashing my face with water a few times. I use the Biore facial cleanser along with my Clarisonic. I really like the Biore facial cleanser because it's very gentle on my skin, but it works really well! It leaves my face fealing so clean and all the dirt is gone. Also my Clarisonic Mia is fantastic, my skin is great! After using my Clarisonic I dry my face with a towel.

Third Step:
Then after I wash and dry my face I apply the Mary Kay Clearspot treatment. Let me tell you, this thing works wonders. Earlier this week I had massive redness all over my face along with giant pimples all over my forehead because I was lazyyyyy in Paris. Now it's friday and my face is practically clear! Sure, there's still some but it's nothing concealer can't fix :)

Finally Step:
Finally I moisturize. I use two different ones. For my night routine I use Aveano clear complexion Daily Moisturizer, for my day time routine I use Aveano Positively Radient Daily Moisturizer. The reason I have two different moisturizers is because my daytime moisturizer contains SPF 30 so I can have healthy skin. I didn't want to use this one at night because it would clog my pores and that would defeat the point.

I know it's not something special but hey, it works for me and hopefully it may work for some of you guys. I do though highly recommend anyone who gets massive breakouts to try the Mary Kay stuff because this stuff is great, and it doesn't even dry out my face!

Kisses with Color

Recently I've had an obsession with lip products. Literally everywhere I go i'll see a lipstick or even a Chapstick and i've just gotta get it. I'm one of those people that has super dry lips, so i'm constantly putting on Chapstick or lipgloss. I mean ask my friends, I have about five different Chapstick/Lipsticks in my pencil case! Usually I just wear chapstick, keepin it all nat-tur-ral. But, i've decided that I want to try and explore the world of color. So today I went to the store and picked up some of the new lip products at Walmart. After making a deal with my mom to make a salad if she drove me, we arrived.  Ok, let me tell you the glorious surprise I came upon when I made it to the makeup isle. ~Drum Rolllll~ Walmart remodeled their makeup section so now they have wayyyy more makeup, it was heavenly. I was now surrounded by makeup on all sides. I had to refrain from just buying everything, like jeez Megan get it together! I finally made it out of Walmart with 5 different lip products, I guess I couldn't keep it all together #sorrynotsorry... Anyways, I got lip stuff from Burt's Bees, Loreal, Covergirl, Maybelline, and 2 different products from Revlon. Now to the good stuff:

4 Easy Steps to Make Your Eyes Pop

Many people say that the best quality of a person is their eyes. I mean I don't know about you but I always notice people's eyes first. So I searched around a bit and found the best four ways to make your eyes pop with simple makeup.

1. Curl Your Lashes
Don't press too hard, you don't want to break your lashes!
This is probably the easiest of all the steps. Simply take any eyelash curler (I used one from Sephora), and squeeze your lashes at the roots three times, then move up to the center and do that again. This way it looks more like a natural curl instead of a straight crimp.
